Medieval4i, the site that allows you to evaluate medical consultations

This is the novelty of this beginning of the week:since Monday, April 15, 2019, it is possible to rate your attending physician and other medical specialists free of charge on the Medieval4i site. No reference to the medieval universe and/or Game of Thrones in this name which is actually a contraction of "medical" and "evaluation". After catering, the hotel industry or even drivers, the notes promise to revolutionize the medical world. Good or bad idea ? To find out, we tested the site.

How does it work?

Accessible from mobiles and computers, Medieval4i offers to consult the opinions left by other patients on a doctor. If you want to give your opinion on a specialist, just enter his name or his specialty, as well as the city where he practices his activity in the search bar. Once the doctor has been selected, it is mandatory to create an account on the platform or log in via Facebook or Gmail in order to leave a "serious" review. We have 6 months to make a return on a consultation (or a refusal of consultation). The evaluation takes place quickly and takes into account 5 criteria:reception, punctuality, explanations, listening and time spent. The overall score is then calculated by the site based on these results. In order to finalize the evaluation, you must provide a notice of at least 100 characters as well as the date of the consultation and the time taken to obtain this appointment.

What we think about it

If Medieval4i seems like a great idea in principle (who never wanted to know if their gynecologist was going to be nice?!), the site can however lead to abuse. We think in particular of the creation of false profiles to leave multiple fraudulent opinions and penalize for example a doctor with whom we would have had a bad feeling. In terms of usability, there are still some improvements to be made. It should also be noted that the mobile version is less practical and faster than the computer version. When is an application available on Apple and Android ?
