Endometriosis:This disease that should not be ignored!

You didn't know? Endometriosis is a chronic inflammatory gynecological disease that causes, among other things, intense pain in the lower abdomen. In order to better understand, we must first know what the endometrium is. The endometrium is the lining that lines the inner walls of the uterus. During the cycle, and under the influence of estrogen, the endometrium thickens to accommodate a possible pregnancy. If there is no fertilization the endometrium is eliminated and evacuated, these are the rules. For a woman with this disease, tissue with the same characteristics as the endometrium grows outside the uterus, in abnormal locations; these are called endometriotic lesions.

The symptoms can be the following:

1. Period pain (sometimes very painful)

2. Pain in the lower abdomen

3. Painful sex

4. Transit disorders (constipation, diarrhea, pain and bleeding in the stool)

5. Bloating

6. Urinary disorders (burning and bleeding in the urine)

7. Infertility

8. Fatigue

To alert as many women as possible to this disease that is still too little known, a video was created by Elsa Muse and narrated by Julie Gayet...
