Science:Non-organic muesli is full of pesticides

The Générations Futures environmental defense association, which aims to inform about the risks of pollution, has made a worrying discovery. It is by focusing on THE essential meal of the day, breakfast, that the association became interested in cereal-based mixes such as muesli. And the conclusion of the study is clear:a large majority of non-organic mueslis contain pesticides. The investigation was carried out within the framework of the EXPPERT7 report:15 packets of non-organic fruit muesli and 5 organic packets were analysed.

EDs, these harmful pesticides

Hold on tight:100% of the non-organic samples tested contain pesticide residues, while none of the organic samples do! In the 15 samples from the non-organic packages, 141 residues were found, and 81 of them are suspected to be pesticides called Endocrine Disruptors (ED). PEs, as the association explains, pose a health risk:they can “interfere with the functioning of the endocrine system and induce numerous harmful effects on the organism of an individual or on his descendants ". In addition, PEs decrease fertility, promote diabetes and can affect the immune system and the respiratory system in children.
