Smoking near your pet is (also) bad for him

We don't think about it, but passive smoking also concerns animals! Indeed, a study from the University of Glasgow in Scotland (United Kingdom), studied the consequences of cigarette smoke on our pets. And no doubt, there is a link:the smoky environment increases their risk of disease. The disorders in question are threefold:1 / it damages their cell, 2 / it makes them gain more weight after castration, 3 / they are more likely to have certain cancers. But the levels of nicotine found in the body hair drop sharply if you smoke less than 10 cigarettes a day at home.

In a statement released by the university, one of the professors explains:"We have already demonstrated that dogs absorb a significant amount of smoke when they live in a house. Our study on cats shows that they are even more affected, perhaps because their thorough grooming would increase the amount of smoke absorbed by their bodies. »

And the only advice from the study is… to simply quit smoking! Here's another reason to get started... To help yourself, you can always switch to the electronic cigarette, because as we explained to you, vaping is 95% less worse than smoking!
