An apple a day is REALLY good for your health

"One apple a day keeps the doctor away!" “*:more than a well-known saying of English speakers, this little phrase is now a scientific truth. The best? Apples would not be the only ones to be excellent for health...

It was at the congress of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) held earlier this week in Barcelona that researchers from the University of Oxford (England) presented the results of their long work:consume one fruit a day significantly reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes!

To reach this conclusion, researchers at the Oxford laboratory, China Kadoorie Biobank (CKB), followed 451,681 Chinese people for 7 years who did not have a heart problem and were not receiving any treatment for hypertension. Objective:to see how to reduce the risk of heart disease, which in Europe causes twice as many deaths as cancers and which kills around 4 million people a year.

They then noticed that by eating one fruit a day, the risk of heart attacks fell by 15%, the risk of stroke by 25% and hemorrhagic strokes by 40%.
