I have knee pain all the time

What if it gets stuck?

After having remained seated without moving or squatting for too long, when you bend your knees, ouch, does it squeak, does it get stuck? It may be a patellar syndrome, due to the fact that the kneecap has trouble refocusing. Nothing serious if it remains a temporary pain. But it is still a sign of too much sedentary lifestyle and a lack of muscle tone around the kneecap. A few sessions with the physiotherapist are enough to tone and strengthen the front of the thigh.

And when does it tingle?

When you go down the stairs, it's normal because you weigh 2 to 7 times your weight! There, it is the fault with… too much sport. In the event of repeated shocks (jogging) or jumps (fitness), the cartilage clinks and becomes irritated, and you feel a more or less painful tingling. We stop our sporting activity for at least a week, before resuming gradually. Rather sports like athletic walking or the swimming pool. If the pain persists, we consult.

Does it swell and heat up?

When you are not used to it, going for 2 hours of zumba or step or a week of skiing without preparation, causes overwork of the knee which can swell and become painful. We rest, we put ice (in a cloth) on the swelling and we raise the leg! If it does not resolve quickly (in 24 hours), we consult. The doctor will pull out the painkiller arsenal and give us an x-ray or an ultrasound to see what's wrong.
