Exercising in the morning:tips if you want to give it a try

1. Get your stuff ready

Before you go to sleep at night, have your sports equipment ready so that you don't have to look for your sports bra in the morning.

2. Get out of bed

This is an important first step. Know what it takes to drag yourself out of bed. Set multiple alarms, promise yourself a nice breakfast, or just jump out of bed without thinking.

3. Make an appointment

Arrange to run with a friend or sign up for an (online) sports class. As soon as someone expects you, it becomes something easy to go.

4. Make sure sports are on your route

Running is ideal, you can start as soon as you close the front door behind you. Are you going to the gym (from July 1) or are you taking a class somewhere? Make sure it's close to your home or on your way to work. This way it fits better into your morning schedule and the step to go is smaller.

5. Go to bed on time

Are you really an evening person and do you sometimes only close your laptop at half past one? No wonder you have trouble getting out of bed in the morning. Going to bed a little on time definitely makes exercising in the morning easier.

6. Think about your evening off

By exercising in the morning, you ensure that you have free time in the evening. Make time for friends you haven't seen in a while or plan a quiet evening for yourself.
