How do you tie the heel lock?

Thread your laces through the small hole on their own side. Pull the lace through until you have a loop. Then cross your laces and pull the ends through the loop on the other side. Pull the laces down until the loops are gone. Then tie your laces as you normally would.

Your heel is much more stable in your shoe, so there is less friction. You reduce the risk of blisters on your heels and toes.
