This is how you last longer with your running shoes

Good running shoes are an investment. With these tips, you can take good care of your shoes and make them last longer.

Only use your running shoes for running

As fun and trendy as your running shoes are, use them only for running. If you also wear them outside of running, they will wear out faster.

Untie the laces before taking off your shoes

You have reached your running goal. Come on, shoes off. Not so fast! It is better to untie the laces first. Putting on and taking off your shoes with the laces still tied can stretch your shoe.

Let your shoes air out

Your running shoes will often get wet, if not from the Dutch rain, or from the sweat. Do not leave them in your bag, but air them. Remove the insoles if necessary. Do not place them too close to the heating.

Alternate two pairs of shoes

If you run several times a week, switch between two pairs of shoes. This way they can dry and air well between walking.

Buy shoes that are suitable for the terrain you walk on

Whether you're going for a run through the mud or on a tarmac road certainly makes a difference. Let the store advise you which shoes are suitable for which terrain.
