You shouldn't do this if you want to maintain your weight

Once you have reached your desired weight, it is sometimes difficult to maintain that weight. These 5 habits can undo all your hard work to lose pounds.

1. Skipping meals

Your body needs every meal to start and keep your metabolism going. It is therefore not wise to skip meals. As a result, your hormones get out of balance and you also have a greater chance of overeating yourself later.

2. Sleeping too little

When you are sleep deprived, more of the hunger hormone leptin is produced. Did you sleep little one night? Then it will be easier for you to overeat the next day.

3. Forbid yourself things

Forbidden things seem to become more attractive, making it even more difficult to resist them. Instead of forbidding yourself to certain foods, teach yourself to take smaller portions and really enjoy them.

4. Follow a crash diet

You have a party next weekend and you want to look good. A crash diet seems like a good solution, but it isn't. Several studies indicate that eating too little slows down your metabolism, so that when you start eating normally again, you gain weight in no time. The well-known yo-yo effect, and you want to avoid that.

5. Drinking your calories

Energy drinks, soda and alcohol are high in calories. Now, a glass every now and then can't hurt, but if you binge drink regularly or down a bottle of Coke a day, you're taking in a lot of calories without providing your body with healthy nutrients.
