What can you do better:running outside or running on the treadmill?

The treadmill and outdoor running have advantages, so choose the shape that best suits your goal.

Running on the treadmill

Due to the flat surface on which you walk and the cushioning that is incorporated, running on the treadmill is less taxing on your joints. The chance of injury is therefore slightly smaller. In addition, your training is efficient, because you can set the treadmill exactly how you want and you are not bothered by weather conditions. Running outside

By choosing the surface on which you run (grass, sand, asphalt), you can make your training more intensive or less intensive. Because of the different surfaces you learn to adapt faster. In addition, you train your hamstrings and buttocks more during outdoor running, because your feet always land in front of you and the treadmill does not automatically bring your foot back. Exercising outside also brings mental benefits; being outside is good for you.
