Is muscle soreness a sign of a good workout?

A little muscle soreness the day after exercise is sometimes quite nice. Because of this you at least have the idea that you have done a good job, but is it really so?

Don't worry about muscle soreness right now:unfortunately, your muscle soreness doesn't necessarily say anything about how well you've trained. Muscle pain depends, among other things, on the sensitivity of your pain receptors. Everyone experiences muscle pain differently and some people experience muscle pain faster than others.

Muscle pain should go away after three days at most. If not, chances are you've gone a little too far.
