Save at the gym

Your visit to the gym can be cheaper. We have listed 6 tips for you.

Take trial lessons
Take trial lessons at various gyms before enrolling. It might even be worth switching gyms if you're already signed up. There are more and more cheap gyms these days.

Pay for what you do
Do you always go to the gym for free or do you only follow group lessons? Find out if your gym also offers a subscription for group lessons only. Or switch to a cheaper gym where no group lessons are given..

Waiting for offers
Even gyms sometimes stunt with prices. There are periods in which you do not have to pay a registration fee or receive a number of tanning sessions as a gift. Some gyms offer off-peak subscriptions. If you've yet to register, it's worth keeping an eye out for promotions.

Pause
In the summer you might prefer to exercise outside than to the gym and you can't be found in the gym during your vacation either. Pause your subscription when you're not using it.

Pay at once
If you become a member for a year, you often get a discount. But if you do not use your subscription, it is still a waste of money. Rather pay per month, quarter or even per time. Calculate which term is most advantageous for you.

Do-it-yourself
If you really want or need to save money, you can delete the gym altogether. Download a running schedule, do abs in the living room and skipping rope in the garden or park. Buying your own elliptical cross trainer can ultimately be cheaper than going to the gym especially for it.

Santé subscribers can sign up for a month of free online weight loss support. In the Slimfitness program you can download exercises and schedules. Look here for more information.
